Summary:

Namjoon draws his index finger across the matte surface of the coffee table, the heat from his skin leaving prints in the black finish as he traces shapelessly. Imagine all the pieces of the universe as parts of a machine. Now imagine that the machines purpose is to make time flow at a relatively normal pace.

Now imagine someone breaks one of those pieces. The machine can still run, but think of it like a printer, maybe. Some words dont come out clearly. Some information is missing. Time is still flowing, but in this part of the universe, its flowing cyclically. We have to put the broken piece back to straighten it out. The other pieces are working twice as hard to compensate, and one by one, they will collapse, and then it will happen exponentially."

"And then what?" Jeongguk asks, chin between the peaks of his knees.

"It's best if we never find out."
